Jill A. Miller, Psy.D., HSPP, LCAC
Dr. Jill A. Miller is a licensed clinical psychologist in both Indiana and Illinois and a member of the American Psychological Association. She earned an undergraduate degree from Indiana University, Bloomington and her doctorate degree from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 1996.
Dr. Miller is a licensed chemical abuse counselor in the state of Indiana. Dr. Miller practiced with the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) for several years as the drug abuse program coordinator. She was also trained to conduct competency and criminal responsibility evaluations during her employment at the BOP.
Presently, in criminal and court, she conducts forensic evaluations for federal and state offenders; in addition to psychological and substance abuse evaluations with juvenile offenders.
She provides services to the family court in the areas of individual and family counseling, marital therapy, brief focused assessment, psychological evaluation, substance abuse assessment, in addition to therapeutic parenting time and reunification. She is a certified mediator, Guardian Ad Litem, Parenting Time Coordinator, Parental Coach, adjunct college professor and a divorce education instructor. She teaches the only High Conflict Parenting Course in the Lake County area approved by the court.
She has served as an expert witness in federal, state and juvenile court on numerous occasions.
She has also served on the regional suicide prevention counsel for several years.
She is a lifelong resident of Northwest Indiana where she maintains her private practice. Her focus includes cognitive behavioral therapy and art recovery methods.
